A letter from Principal Frailer

Good evening, Cougar families!

It is an incredible honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Fallston Middle School. Having served this community as assistant principal for the past two years, I have had the privilege of getting to know our students, staff, and families. I am excited to continue this journey together in a new role, building on the strong foundation that makes Fallston Middle School such a special place.

I believe that every child deserves a school where they feel safe—not only physically, but emotionally. When students know they are valued, respected, and supported, they are willing to take risks, embrace challenges, and discover strengths they may not even realize they possess. My goal is for every student to leave Fallston believing in their potential and feeling empowered to pursue it.

I also believe that every student can learn and achieve at high levels. Our responsibility as educators is to provide strong, engaging, and differentiated instruction that ensures every learner has access to meaningful opportunities for growth. By focusing on instructional excellence, we will challenge, support, and celebrate each student's unique journey.

Student success is strongest when schools and families work together. Open communication, trust, and collaboration between home and school are essential, and I am committed to fostering meaningful partnerships with our families. As we begin the school year, I would like to invite parents and guardians to join our administrative team for an informal meet-and-greet on Wednesday, July 22nd, from 9:30–11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 6th, from 3:00–4:30 p.m., or Monday, August 10, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. These sessions are an opportunity for us to get acquainted, answer questions, and, most importantly, hear from you about your experiences and hopes for Fallston Middle School. Your voice is an important part of our continued growth, and I hope you will be able to attend one of these opportunities. Additionally, if you feel that a more private conversation would be helpful, I invite you to reach out to me to schedule a personal meeting.

As we move forward, our work will align closely with Harford County Public Schools' priorities of instructional excellence, a positive culture and climate, and operational efficiency. These priorities reflect our commitment to providing exceptional learning experiences, cultivating a welcoming and inclusive school community, and ensuring that our systems and resources support students and staff effectively.

I am excited about what lies ahead for Fallston Middle School. Together, we will continue to build a school where every student is known, challenged, supported, and inspired to become the very best version of themselves.
