World SMILE Day
Charlie Mull, an 8th grader at our school, knows how powerful a
smile can be. Charlie’s hope is that on World Smile Day , everyone at our school will take a moment to share a smile — by saying hello, and wearing a smiley graphic to make school a brighter place.
My name is Charlie Mull, and World Smile Day is very important to me for many reasons. I was born with a Cleft Lip and Palate, which is a craniofacial difference. I have had many surgeries to reconstruct my lip and mouth area, beginning when I was three months old through this past summer. I am committed to supporting others with Cleft Lip and Palate and craniofacial differences, especially children and their siblings. One thing I have learned for sure is that everyone is unique and that no matter what, no two smiles are alike. I hope that through the recognition of World Smile Day , we can all help to spread kindness, as well as understanding that everyone is different and our smiles make each of us special!
Please help support World Smile Day by wearing a smiley face graphic t of your choice.
Here is one from Amazon as an example. Hope to see many others support Charlie and make Fallston a kinder place to attend school.
